Katherine Falwell, Ph.D, BCBA-D, Executive Director
Licensed Psychologist
Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctorate (BCBA-D)
Dr. Katherine Falwell is the Executive Director of Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics and The Keystone Academy. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctorate (BCBA-D). Dr. Falwell received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, and her certification in Behavior Analysis from George Mason University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute and completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Florida. Dr. Falwell serves both typically developing and special needs children as a clinician, educator, consultant and researcher. In addition to serving as Executive Director, Dr. Falwell is also faculty at the University of Massachusetts and teaches courses in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Julie B. Riley, MSW, Quality Assurance Manager
Julie Riley is the Quality Assurance Manager for Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics and The Keystone Academy. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo in New York. Julie’s previous experience includes working as the Director of Admissions for a non-profit psychiatric center for children with severe psychiatric disorders. She also was employed by the Department of Children and Families Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program Office as the Program Coordinator for the Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment Program which coordinates mental health care and substance abuse treatment for children in Florida’s foster care system. Additionally, Julie has served as the Clinical Director for Jacksonville’s only Child Baker Act receiving facility. At Keystone, Julie provides consultation and direction to staff to ensure families are receiving the highest quality education and clinical practices.
Erika Holtz, MA, Operations Manager
Erika Holtz is the Operations Manager for Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics and The Keystone Academy. She carries a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University. Her main area of study is Organizational Behavior Management. In her previous position in the media industry, she had dual functionality as the Employee Performance Specialist and Human Resources Manager. She also brings with her experience in practicums as a systems analyst, behavioral based safety consultant and volunteer hotline crisis counselor. Erika continues to stay current in the field with active memberships in the Association for Applied Behavioral Analysis International (ABAI) and the Organizational Behavior Management Network (OBMN). As the Operations Manager, Erika oversees systematic and continuous improvement of operations. She is responsible for risk management and all financial actions at Keystone. Additionally, Erika oversees all vendor contracts and is responsible for human resource policies, benefits, and all aspects of facilities.
Adrienne DeSantis, Ph.D., BCBA-D, NCSP, Clinical Director

Dr. Adrienne DeSantis is a Licensed Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She received a dual B.S. in Psychology and Child Development/ Family Sciences from the Florida State University and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina. Dr. DeSantis completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where her training was in behavioral and cognitive behavioral treatment for children with challenging behaviors. Dr. DeSantis currently provides a range of services to families and children including behavioral assessment and treatment, individual and family therapy, parent and teacher training, psychoeducational evaluations, and school consultation.
Dr. Nandita Joshi, M.D.
Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
After graduating medical school, Dr. Joshi completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Columbia University's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. She then completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by additional fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Before moving to Jacksonville, she worked as the Director of the Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at Focus By The Sea Hospital in St. Simon's Island, Georgia. Dr. Joshi is double boarded in Adult as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She offers comprehensive outpatient care including diagnostic evaluations, second opinions, medication management, and patient and family education. She also engages in medical research at Clinical Neuroscience Solutions, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida. Integrating her strong academic background, clinical experience and findings from latest research, she provides the highest quality of care to her patients.
Andrew Scherbarth, Ph.D., BCBA-D, Staff Psychologist

Dr. Andrew Scherbarth is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Psychologist in both Maryland and Florida. He received a B.S. with a Family Sciences major from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Scherbarth’s graduate training includes certification in Behavior Analysis, a M.S. in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas. Dr. Scherbarth has worked in a variety of positions to meet behavioral needs. These positions have included data collector, behavioral tutor working with children with autism, instructor in a group-based parent training program, intern who conducted behavior assessment and wrote intervention plans, and most recently Post-Doctoral Fellow who provided individualized behavioral assessment and parent training at the Kennedy Krieger Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Scherbarth currently provides a range of services for families, including individual and group-based therapy for children, family therapy and behavioral parent training, psychological assessment, as well as school consultation.
Paras Nabizadeh, Psy.D., BCBA-D, Senior Clinical Psychology Resident

Dr. Paras Nabizadeh received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Florida where she interned at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Gainesville, Florida. She received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. During her time at NSU, Dr. Nabizadeh gained extensive experience in providing psychological and neuropsychological assessments, behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapies, school consultation, parent training, and social skills groups, with a focus on children and adolescents (both typically developing and special needs). Dr. Nabizadeh also gained experience providing crisis intervention and behavioral therapies to children and adolescents with a wide range of diagnoses at Miami Children’s Hospital Inpatient Unit. During her pre-doctoral internship at Park Place Behavioral Health Care, Dr. Nabizadeh worked within a multidisciplinary setting providing therapy and consultation to children and adolescents in outpatient and crisis inpatient settings, substance abuse treatment to adolescents and adults in day treatment programs, and behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy to children and adolescents in a group home setting. While at Keystone, Dr. Nabizadeh completed her certification courses in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Massachusetts and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Stephanie Backof Holmes, Ph.D., Psychology Resident
Dr. Stephanie Holmes is a psychology resident at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Bucknell University and received her M.S. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from Oklahoma State University. While in Oklahoma, Dr. Holmes worked as a Response to Intervention (RTI) Specialist for the Oklahoma State Department of Education and assisted school districts in implementing a data-based decision-making model for meeting students’ academic and behavioral needs. Dr. Holmes completed her pre-doctoral internship at Florida State University’s Multidisciplinary Evaluation and Consulting Center. Dr.Homes' professional experience and interests include psychological assessment with special emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities; consultation with school districts; parent training; and behavioral therapy. Dr. Holmes is currently providing a range of services for families, including psychological assessment, behavioral treatment, and school consultation.
Vivian Aranda-Michel, Psy.D., Psychology Resident
Dr. Vivian Aranda-Michel received her Masters of Arts and Psy.D in Clinical Psychology (APA- accredited Program) from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally. Dr. Aranda-Michel holds a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), Pediatric Practitioner Program (PNP) from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Ohio. Dr. Aranda-Michel completed her pre-doctoral APA accredited internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. In this setting, her training involved neuropsychological evaluations, consultation and behavioral and cognitive treatment for pediatric in-patient populations, and behavioral and cognitive treatment for child and adolescent outpatient populations. Dr. Aranda-Michel currently provides a range of services to families and children, including behavioral assessment and treatment; individual, family and group therapy; parent and teacher training; psychoeducational evaluations; and school consultation.
Laura Mathisen, M.S., BCBA, Supervisor of Behavioral Education
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Laura Mathisen is a Behavior Therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics. Laura attended Auburn University’s Applied Behavior Analysis in Developmental Disabilities graduate program where she earned a Master of Science in Psychology. She completed her practicum experience in a variety of settings including school consultation for elementary school children with challenging behaviors, a state funded parent training course for foster and biological parents, a residential/academic program for adolescents with severe behavior problems, an early intervention preschool, and a facility serving adults with intellectual disabilities and problem behaviors. She has worked with individuals ranging from 2 years to 87 years of age. Prior to working at Keystone, Laura worked for Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities as a Regional Behavior Analyst, and she was responsible for overseeing behavioral services for providers in 44 counties. At Keystone, Laura provides behavioral services, conducts supervision, staff training, and behavioral consultation in a variety of academic settings. Laura also oversees behavior plan development and treatment integrity at The Keystone Academy.
Lindsay Vick, M.S., BCBA, Supervisor of Behavioral Education,
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Lindsay Vick received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Child Development/Family Sciences from the University of Central Missouri in 2007 and her Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University in 2009. From 2007-2009, Lindsay worked for the state of Illinois where she provided in-home parent training to families in the child welfare system. Specifically, Lindsay assisted parents in understanding their children's behavior and taught positive, non-punitive forms of child management. Lindsay completed her internship at an autism center located on the Southern Illinois campus with training that focused on behaviorally based treatments for children with autism. In 2009, following completion of her Master’s degree, Lindsay became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Lindsay currently provides various services to families, specializing in individualized ABA therapy, parent and teacher training, functional assessment and treatment of problem behavior, school consultation, and behavioral relaxation therapy. Lindsay also oversees behavior plan development and treatment integrity at The Keystone Academy.
Bethany Anderson, M.S., CCC-SLP, Director of Speech and Language Pathology
Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist
Bethany Anderson is the Director of Speech-Language Pathology. She holds a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. Bethany’s has vast experience in treating individuals ranging from birth to adult in school-based and clinical settings. Her specialties include: behavior management, early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delay, cognitive disorders and language disorders. Bethany is also a certified bilingual (Spanish) speech-language pathologist and has experience working with children and adults from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Bethany is a passionate clinician who enjoys bringing creativity to her team. Most recently, Bethany is pursuing her training and certification in PROMPT and Early Start Denver Model for treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
Michelle Klindtworth, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech and Language Pathologist
Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist
Michelle Klindtworth is the newest Speech Language Pathologist to join the Keystone Behavioral Pediatric team. Michelle received her Master’s of Science degree from the Florida State University and holds her Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Miichelle’s professional experience includes providing students within the academic setting therapeutic support as they improve their communication skills. Her professional, educational, and personal experiences have allowed her to help a wide range of individuals, from pediatric clients to adults, who present with a multitude of communicative challenges. Her specialties include: cognitive disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, motor speech disorders, and developmental delays.
R.J. Navarro, Occupational Therapist
RJ Navarro graduated with his degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles (USC). He has spent his entire career in settings specializing in Neurological Rehabilitation in both the adult and pediatric populations. Areas of specialty with adults include Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation. Within the pediatric population, RJ has focused his services to those with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Downs Syndrome working in pediatric home care, the school system, and a pediatric Sensory Integration Clinic. He has worked extensively in Visual Therapy, Hand Splinting, and Wheelchair seating. RJ is also certificated in Neuro-Developmental Treatment with practical knowledge of all modalities. He is currently the Senior Occupational Therapist at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics working within a multi-disciplinary team approach.
Melissa Lara, M.S., BCaBA, Behavior Therapist

Melissa Lara returned to Florida from Stuttgart, Germany. She graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland University College-Europe and received her certification for Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Florida. Melissa is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. She is currently working on completing the remaining requirements for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Prior to moving to Germany, Melissa worked with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities in both school and clinic settings. Melissa then completed her counseling internship at Stuttgart Social Work Service and the Stuttgart Education Center working with Service Members, family members, and children in the Stuttgart community. This included experience in crisis intervention, on-call services, family and individual counseling, and counseling those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse/neglect. While in Stuttgart, Melissa also worked for Army Community Services as the Family Advocacy Program Educator in the community. Melissa's prior experience also includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of community-based, school, outpatient and inpatient settings. At Keystone, Melissa provides a wide variety of mental health services including behavioral therapy, feeding, therapy, art therapy, and social skills groups. Melissa works diligently to keep Keystone actively involved in community events and fundraisers.
Matt Briere-Saltis, BCaBA, Behavior Therapist
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
Matt Briere-Saltis received a BA in both Psychology and English from the University of Vermont before trading in those long New England winters for the warmth of Florida. Matt completed his BCaBA studies at Florida Institute of Technology in April of 2010. Matt previously managed group homes in St. Augustine for children with intensive behavioral needs. At Keystone, Matt works in both the clinic and academy providing behavioral therapy and consultation. Matt is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and his BCBA certification through Nova Southeastern University.
Mindy Stutzman, MSW, Extern
Mindy Stutzman, MSW, is an extern at Keystone working towards her PhD in Clinical Psychology through Fielding Graduate University. Mindy earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Flagler College and a Masters of Social Work from University of Central Florida. Her previous experience includes providing support to families and children living with chronic illness, grief and loss issues, and providing mental health support services in numerous settings including the home, office and school.
Matthew J Meunier, M.A., Behavior Consultant
Matt Meunier received his Bachelor’s degree from New England College and his Master’s degree in Human Behavior from National University in La Jolla, CA. He has over 15 years of experience working in the field of mental health services. Matt’s previous experience includes serving as the Executive Director of an agency that provided a variety of services to individuals with Autism. He also has experience working with severely emotional disturbed (SED) children in residential and school settings. While attending New England College he participated in the first research about hate crimes in school. He is currently enrolled at Florida Institute of Technology obtaining his BCBA certification. Mr. Meunier has recently relocated to the Jacksonville area from San Diego, CA. At Keystone, Matt provides a wide range of therapy including behavioral therapy, parent training and social skills.
Amanda Garrettson, M.A, Behavior Consultant
Amanda Garrettson is a Behavior Consultant at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics. She moved to the Jacksonville area from Michigan. Amanda received her Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University's Behavior Analysis Training System. She has experience in the Autism field as well as in Organizational Behavior Management. She has 5 years of experience working in a public school classroom for preschool aged children with Early Childhood Developmental Delays. Her past experience involved providing individual behavior therapy, case supervision, and tutor supervision. Amanda currently conducts behavior therapy, school consultation and parent training.
Ashley Vickery, M.S., Behavior Consultant
Ashley Vickery is a behavior consultant at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics and came to Florida from her hometown of Rainbow City, AL. Ashley received a cross country and track scholarship from Troy University, where she attended and competed for until 2007. She then transferred to Jacksonville State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in English. Ashley received her Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Jacksonville State University in 2011. She completed her undergraduate and graduate practicum at The Little Tree Preschool in Jacksonville, AL, an early intervention preschool serving children ages 2 to 7 years old with intellectual disabilities and problem behaviors. Her past experience includes providing behavior assessment and therapy, case management, and academic skill acquisition. Ashley is currently working on her certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Dionne Griffin, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Dionne Griffin graduated with the first COTA class at Florida State College at Jacksonville and maintains her affiliation with the college as a member of the Program Advisory Committee. She received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Community Health from the University of North Florida. Dionne completed her internship with the Duval County School system, where she worked with students with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome and Developmental Delays.
Lisa Carey, Office Coordinator
Lisa Carey has years of experience working in numerous medical facilities and office settings where she completed a variety of billing/insurance functions. Employment has included outpatient mental health and substance abuse facilities. Lisa supervises the day-to-day office functions, invoices, insurance, and accounts receivable. Lisa looks forward to assisting both current and future clients with their billing and insurance needs.
Cyndi Fletcher, Insurance Specialist
Cyndi Fletcher joined the Keystone team in February 2011 as the Insurance Specialist. Her responsibilities include verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations for all commercial insurance and Tricare clients, intake coordination, financial planning, as well as the day to day billing office responsibilities. Cyndi has served in the medical and mental health fields for many years, starting out as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and Emergency Medical Technician and most recently earning a BA in Business Administration and Healthcare Management. Cyndi enjoys working with clients and their families to ensure the best possible experience at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics and The Keystone Academy and is always happy to assist in any way.
Robert Mikeska, Scheduling Coordinator
Robert Mikeska comes to Keystone with over with experience in managing the front office of a multiple provider pediatrics practice and 8 years of service in the United States Submarine Navy. He has held multiple management positions for over 20 years in hospitality. Robert is well known for the positive energy he brings to the front office. Robert’s experience in customer service and marketing is a great addition to Keystone, and he is always ready to greet clients with a sticker and a smile.
Teri Mims, Client Services Coordinator
Teri comes to Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and is a Certified Child Life Specialist. Teri's past work experience includes working in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department in Detroit, MI, as well as on an Oncology/Hematology Unit here in Jacksonville. As a child life specialist, Teri worked with children parents and siblings in the hospital. Teri provided training regarding medical procedures and new diagnoses, distraction, and emotional support to patients during procedures. Teri also provided group and individual activities for children in the hospital that encouraged socialization, independence, and normalization of the hospital experience. Teri recently moved back to Jacksonville from Williamsburg, Virginia with her husband and dog.
